About Me

Customer service is our top priority! In these colder winter months, please reach out for a virtual appointment to review your insurance and financial needs.

I am a Minnesota Native and have lived in the Brainerd Lakes area for over 25 years with my beautiful wife Maralee. We have been married for 40 years, and we have five amazing children and five wonderful grandchildren. I received a degree in Business Management from Oral Roberts University in 1982. In my free time, I enjoy travel, gardening, sports, hunting, motorcycling, boating, and the great outdoors.

Our agency is a local small business gladly serving the Brainerd Lakes area, including Baxter, Pequot Lakes, Crosby, Pillager, Motley, Aitkin, Crosslake, Breezy Point, Staples, and other surrounding cities. We provide onsite services in our family friendly and pet friendly office and have a comfortable waiting area with coffee available. Walk-ins are welcome and we accept many forms of payments . Our experienced and dedicated team is always more than happy to help meet your insurance needs!

Hello, My name is Kari and I am the office manager for the Paul Gazelka Agency. Born in the Brained Lakes Area and have spent most of my life right here. I have raised my three children here in the Brainerd Lakes Area and continue to love the lakes and all Northern MN has to offer. I started my career in the insurance industry over 20 years ago, the last 8 working for State Farm Agents, of those 6 here at Paul’s office. In my spare time you will find me enjoying life with Ed and our dog, Copper, either camping, biking, hiking, baking, traveling or with any of my 10 Grand kids, the greatest time is when you get to combine many of those into one trip!! I am very passionate about what I do and use my attention to detail to assistant you will all your insurance needs. I am licensed in Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Condo Insurance, Renters Insurance, Life Insurance, and Health Insurance as well as Recreational Vehicles Insurance including boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, campers ATV’s, UTV’s, Motorcycles.

Hi! I'm Lydia, and I'm the newest addition to the agency. I was born and raised in Minnesota and just recently graduated from Oral Roberts University with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. When I'm not working, I LOVE spending time outdoors and have an extensive variety of creative hobbies and interests. I am very enthusiastic about helping people find the right products and services for them, and I consider myself a patient and empathetic person. I currently have my license in property and casualty, and my absolute favorite part about working at the office is getting to connect with the many different kinds of people we insure!
